We are CookingSocial, LLC (“Pantoh,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Pantoh mobile application and related services. By using Pantoh you agree to the practices described below.

Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Display name, profile photo, dietary preferences and restrictions you set at onboarding or in your profile.
- Recipe Content: Recipes you create, import, customize, or share within the app, including any photos and descriptions.
- Communications: Messages and requests you send to our support team at support@pantoh.app.
- Social Links: Optional links to your social media profiles or personal website added to your public profile.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Features accessed, recipes viewed, searches performed, and interactions within the app.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.
- Authentication Data: Sign-in method (Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In) and associated identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Pantoh app and all related services.
- Personalize recipe recommendations based on your dietary preferences and usage patterns.
- Power the Personal Sous Chef feature, including ingredient substitution suggestions developed with registered dietitians.
- Enable community features including following, sharing, discovery, blocking, and content reporting.
- Communicate with you about app updates, new features, and customer support matters.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other prohibited or illegal activities.
- Analyze aggregated usage patterns to improve and develop our services.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. The following categories of third parties may receive your data as described:
- AI and Technology Service Providers: Who process individual personal data necessary to power personalized recipe recommendations and the Personal Sous Chef allergen-checking feature.
- Analytics Providers: Who receive only aggregated, non-identifiable usage data to help us measure and improve our services. Pantoh does not share individual user personal data with analytics providers.
- Food & Beverage Brand Partners: Who may receive aggregated, non-identifiable usage data only in connection with the Personal Sous Chef feature and native advertising integrations. Pantoh does not share individual user personal data with brand partners.
- Payment Processors and Hosting Providers: Who receive individual personal data necessary to facilitate transactions and securely host our services.
- Email Service Providers (including Mailchimp): Who receive your email address solely for the purpose of transactional and opt-in marketing communications.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time using the Delete My Data form on our website, or by contacting us at legal@cooking.social.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.

EU and UK individuals have additional rights under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, including the right to access, correct, and request deletion or amendment of personal data processed in violation of DPF Principles. To exercise any access right, submit a request to legal@cooking.social. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
6. Required by Law
We may access, preserve, and share your personal data in response to a legal request (such as a search warrant, court order, or subpoena), or as required to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. Such disclosures may be made notwithstanding any other provision of this Privacy Policy, and Pantoh's liability with respect to such disclosures is limited to the extent required by applicable law.
7. Change of Control
If we sell or otherwise transfer part or all of Pantoh or CookingSocial, LLC, your personal data may be among the assets transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or in-app notification prior to any such transfer.
8. Security
We apply no less than reasonable and industry-standard levels of care to store, transmit, and protect your information, including any Biometric Information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Pantoh is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately at legal@cooking.social.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time with prior written notice sent to the email address we have on file for you. Your continued use of Pantoh following such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
