English Trifle

English Trifle

This recipe was given to me by a dear friend who was born in England. It has been hugely popular on Allrecipes.com and they even put it into one of their cookbooks. There is lots of room for substitutions in this recipe. Trade strawberries for raspberries or pudding for more authentic custard, add more cherries and almonds. It is wonderful, easy and impressive.
