0.5 TbspBrown Sugar or Honey

Instructions

Blanch the chicken drumsticks with boiling water.

Pat dry and put them in a bowl for marinating. Add about 10 slices of ginger and 2 stems of scallion (cut in 2 inches length) in the bowl.

Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey (or brown sugar), and ground pepper.

Mix them altogether and marinate it for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.

In a rice cooker, put 20 slices of ginger, 3 stems of scallion (cut in 2 inches length), and 4 cloves garlic (slightly mashed).

Put the chicken drumsticks on the ginger slices and scallions. Pour the remaining marinate sauce in the rice cooker.

Cook for 1 hour. Turn the chicken halfway through the cooking time.
